This is a really bad rental company.

Everything was clear, fast and well.

Wimer car rental in Malaga, quick shuttle bus service, almost new car with upgrade, deposit was paid back within 24 hours. Drop off the car wash in Minits and shuttle bus left without waiting at 10 points for Wimer.

Great service, quick pickup and in the car within minutes. All. Cars have been virtually new. Will use again

We always use Carrentals.co.uk for our trips to Spain. The cost is a major factor, but also the website is so easy and there are sometimes promotions like free additional driver etc. when your life is busy booking car hire is so easy and you know you will get the best price. .

We rented a car via carrentals.co.uk.
We paid the full amount for the rental period upfront.
We arrived at the desk 2,5 later than noted in the documentation and got the response that they cancelled our booking, because the grace period is max 1 hour.

Although we paid the full amount upfront, no refund can be given.

In the end the exact same car as rented upfront, coincidentally was still available to rent at the desk of Noleggiare, and available for twice the price as we paid upfront....

They use non-existing terms and conditions as a scam to let you pay twice or triple the amount on the spot.
Knowing that you have no where else to go.

It feel like a white collar scam and is outrages.

Booked a car with these guys in advance for a trip to Italy.
Upon arrival my card, with which i did the booking, wasn't accepted anymore
due to it being a prepaid Mastercard. Although this didn't stop them from taking my money during the booking process, i stopped them from giving that money back.
I paid 200 euro for a product I never received en they decline to pay me that money back. Seems like it's a common scam used by these rental companies, watch out and fock them.

Wouldn’t even give 1 star. They charged me for a car I didn’t use. It does NOT make it clear they need a credit card ONLY for deposit and they are not open weekends so even if you want to cancel
You can’t if booked on a weekend. Avoid this company so you don’t waste money. Better companies out there.

We booked a car through Carrentals but due to our German credit card we're not able to hire a car, but the company refused to give us a refund (despite the website stating we would get one, with only perhaps 3 days that we had to pay). This is shocking treatment.

What a bad experience my family and I had with carrentals' "service". In summary:
- Booked a car for my family +/- 2 months prior to our holiday
- No car was available upon arrival
- No alternative was offered
- It took 38! days for any one of customer service to respond
- Now more than 2 months after not having received a car, I still haven't received a refund, let alone for all additional expenses we had to make and effort we took to try to get in touch and deliver all kinds of documents

In short, we truly have been scammed by carrentals without anyone taking ownership or feeling customer service is something valuable for the company. I recommend no one to make a reservation with this company since the outcome can be disastrous.

I would heartily discourage anyone from using this firm - I am not sure what happened to rentalcars.com which this firm seems to have replaced but the service is appalling! Trying to cancel or change a booking is like pulling teeth. They insist on your calling them as if you have all the time in the world to waste being on hold, you get through to someone who you can barely understand on a terrible line who still does not resolve your issue. You try dealing with it on email so you have a record of the conversation and you just get told to call. Useless does not even begin to describe this company

Horrible service, staff was rude (Dutch/Belgian staff especially) and could not help us change a minute detail and told us to cancel and rebook a car for a way higher price point. Would not recommend. If I could give zero stars I would.

Carrentals.co.uk will help you find good prices for car rentals (better than what you would normally get through the car rental companies) but it's only worth using it to book with reputable car rental companies. Some of the lower cost options featured on carrentals.co.uk will try to milk you by passing into your bill charges inconsistent with your carrentals.co.uk booking when you get to the cashier to pick up the car. When that happens, good luck trying to get any help... I submitted all the details of my issue to carrentals.co.uk, no one ever even got back to me to at least acknowledge this.

Worst customer service I have experienced in my life. Been hanging on the phone for almost an hour, because my booking got cancelled (even though I got a booking confirmation) and been hung up on TWICE. The answer of the last lady was 'I can't help you with this', while the other two employees were putting me on hold for more than half an hour (apparently doing nothing). Definitely not booking at this place
